Honoring & Uplifting WomEn in Denton County
Returning to this year's event - the She-Rock Awards. FWB will celebrate women in the following categories: Education, Business Owner, Non-Profit / Charity, Advocate / Community Leader, Public Servant, and Womxn of the Year.
Past award winners include: Dr. Enedelia Sauceda, Wendy McGee, Amber Briggle, Dr. Nasrin Kohan,Dr. Karen McDowell and Anjelica Fraga.
FWB will host a special awards ceremony at Dan's Silverleaf on Thursday March 2nd, 2023. Please note, all FWB board members are ineligible to receive these awards.
Business Owner
A leader within the business community whose business has made a positive impact or who has done something to influence positivity as a business owner.
Education
The education nominee can be someone who works as a teacher, professor, administrator or similar within any segment of education.
Non-Profit/Charity
Nominees for the non-profit/charity category can be employed by the entity or serve in a volunteer capacity but their impact is seen through the non-profit/charity efforts or positive influence.
Advocate/Community Leader
This nominee should stand out because of their leadership and/or advocacy work that has made an impact someway in Denton County.
Public Servant
Any elected official, city staff, fire, police, medical or similar.

What is She-Rock
The 3rd annual She-Rock, a 100% for charity International Women’s Day celebration, takes place on March 4th & 5th, 2022, benefiting two womxn focused Denton County non-profit organizations.
This 2-day musical extravaganza will be held at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio and will feature local & regional female-led bands, artists, comedians, and more!
She-Rock offers various sponsorship levels and benefit packages, which include branding inclusion on collateral materials, social media promotions, and other perks.
