Friends with Benefits (FWB) is a non-profit (yes, the state of Texas recognizes us!) that hosts fun, affordable events to support other nonprofits, individuals in need, and organizations across North Texas.
Our events range from live music and drag shows to art exhibits, fundraising nights, and donation drives—always centered around bringing people together for a good cause.
We thrive on strong partnerships with local businesses and individuals in the Denton community, creating engaging opportunities to give back. Our goal is to make philanthropy accessible to everyone through well-run, entertaining events. Above all, we take pride in showing up and working hard for others—big and small.

Our mission
Friends with benefits is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Denton, TX which benefits North Texas charitable organizations and community initiatives that better our local communities, schools and/or neighborhoods. Our goal is to put on fun events in Denton, Texas to raise funds and awareness to North Texas charitable organizations and causes.
who do we help?
our main focus is on the smaller non-profits servicing north central texas whoes resources need to be focused on doing the work verse fundraising, marketing, and event planning.
while most of our efforts are on events, we do have several programs we do year-round, including funding birthday parties for cumberland youth and family services, scholarships, teacher wishlist gifting, tiny pantry fulfillments, unhoused outreach and assistance in extreme weather conditions, and much more!
how do we operate?
FWB is a 100% unpaid volunteer organization. Our amazing friend group works hard to make sure every cent raised goes straight to a good cause in North Texas. Our board of directors is a working board - we all put sweat, tears, sometimes blood (some of us are clutsy) into making a difference for the denton community.
what have we done?
over the past 12 years, fwb has put almost $300,000 back into the denton community charities, non-profits, individuals, and causes.
We have collected over 1000 pounds of winter wear items for unhoused friends since 2014.
provided over $30,000 in birthday celebrations for children in foster care.
over 300 local teacher wishlist items purchased.
over $12,000 to assist food insecurities.
Over $5,000 in holiday needs.
Over $20,000 in scholarships and education support.
Over $50,000 in supporting local and national artists.
